Again lots of stories from the pages of history relating to war, kings, queens and killing of people. But I found the following two very different.
In 2001 the first draft of the complete Human Genome was published in Nature, a prominent British scientific journal. Though scientist started working with genes, and cloning long before this event, it was for the first time that a detailed study of the complete gene structure was published in a journal for the world.
The second is a united overwhelming response from people all over the world in protest of Iraq war which occurred more in more than 800 cities across the earth. It was estimated that between 8 million to 30 million people took part, making it the largest peace demonstration in the history of the world.
Unfortunately the war still went ahead and the innocent people are still lingering from the pain and aftermath causalities of lives and properties from the war! I guess either our words are falling into deaf ears or our voices are rising above the bar!
